Mike is the Co-founder of SESCO and its affiliates and serves as the President of its' Partnership, its' Chief Executive Officer and is the Co-Chief Risk Officer. Mike sets the overall direction for all of SESCO's entities with the support of SESCO's partners, defines the vision and mission, and directly oversees its' resource allocations for all trading and operational activities. Prior to SESCO, Mike spent 14 years with Hess, TOSCO, BNP Paribas, Goldman Sachs, Allegheny Energy, and Bank of America. Mike started in accounting and worked his way into trading and operations throughout his career. Mike has gained extensive technical, operations, and trading experience through education and execution throughout these organizations. As a perpetual optimist, dreamer, and grower, he has helped to build numerous successful divisions/companies over the past thirty years. Mike is a husband and… father of 3 children and enjoys spending his time reading, exercising, learning to play golf and tennis along with enjoying the outdoors with his family and friends. Mike started his career in the Marines as a logistic specialist and contributes the military and support of his family as the driving force behind his successes.
Jim is one of the original partners of SESCO Enterprises LLC and its Affiliates. He serves as the CFO and is the Co-Risk Officer. Jim Graduated with an Accounting Degree from Baruch College. Jim supports the goals defined by the partners at SESCO. His experience includes over 30 years of senior Financial and Risk Management…Management with SESCO Enterprises and several fortune 500 investment banking organizations which include American Express, Bank of America, Barclays Investment bank BZW, BNP Paribas, Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations and Metallgesellschaft AG. He also has vast experience with new product development, system enhancements, and cost saving measures that have directly contributed to shareholder value and increased control and efficiencies at some of the largest companies in the world. In Jim's spare time he runs a foundation for Special Needs Children and serves as the Treasurer and Executive Board member at The College of New Jersey Foundation to better education.
Ms. Ghilani is an accomplished business-focused technology executive with a proven track record aligning technology to drive business results. Having worked for Fortune 500 Companies and information technology consulting Ms. Ghilani cultivated robust industry experience spanning Financial Services, Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, Federal Civilian, and Defense organizations. Ms. Ghilani's diverse background enables her to bring best practices and lessons learned to bear to identify industry specific opportunities or trends as well as ensure sound technology performance, adherence to service level expectations, and business continuity.
Prior to joining Sesco Enterprises, Ms. Ghilani was the Head of North America Provider Functions Information Technology and Global Commercial Services at Mylan Pharmaceuticals. In this role, she was responsible for North America information technology…technology as well as global services supporting commercial technologies. During her time at Mylan Ms. Ghilani developed and executed a technology strategy to cross-functionally align and optimize back-office operations, enhance customer engagement, and elevate data and analytics maturity to promote customer centricity and cultivate actionable insights.
Preceding Mylan, Ms. Ghilani spent nearly ten years at Thermo Fisher scientific where she held various Information technology roles of increasing responsibility. During her early tenure she grew the QA presence from 4 analysts focused in e-Commerce to a shared service comprised of 30+ professionals operating enterprise wide. With increased emphasis on shared service utilization her responsibilities expanded to include digital technologies, web hosting, web support, integrations, and information technology leadership for Canada. Additionally, she led efforts in collaboration with technology and global infrastructure owners to cultivate a comprehensive service portfolio and engagement model to expand service availability and maximize organizational value.
Early in Ms. Ghilani's career she gained experience through a variety of diverse roles at the Department of Commerce, CGI-AMS, and General Dynamics/Anteon. During this eight-year period her focus was distributed between business initiatives, information technology projects and consulting, product engineering, technology process implementations, and continuous improvement endeavors.
Ms. Ghilani received a B.A. from Dickinson College and an M.S. from Carnegie Mellon University with a concentration in financial management and analysis. Additionally, she is passionate about process improvement and driving technology and business maturation via key process indicators and data. Owing to this fact beyond her professional accomplishments she obtained credentials spanning software process implementation and improvement, quality/organizational excellence, ITIL, and Six Sigma to complement her skillsets and experience.
Keith applies his over-twenty-five years of market and management experience every day to his diversified responsibilities at SESCO. Before joining SESCO Keith was responsible for managing portfolio risk as a trader of financial futures and equity derivatives at various private equity firms. Keith was responsible for overseeing… daily operations of the exchange traded derivatives business and for maintaining strong relationships with numerous trading desks and bankers.
Since joining SESCO in 2004, Keith has consistently delivered to help the firm achieve its goals. As the Head of Compliance, his approach includes a strong orientation toward delivering business results with a leadership style that always facilitates the success of the team.
Keith is married with three wonderful children. He enjoys being with family though his two college-age varsity student-athletes keep him very busy on the sidelines each weekend! Keith has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Rutgers University.
Greg has been with Sesco Enterprises for 13 years as a proven FTR, inc/dec and financial trader in NYISO, PJM, MISO and SPP markets. Prior to joining Sesco Enterprises, Greg worked with Allegheny Energy in a variety of roles including managing the competitive retail and wholesale pricing groups, managing…managing the dispatch of generation fleet, managing generation fleet pricing and generation and corporate FTR revenue projections, and as a planning and transmission engineer. Greg received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech. In his leisure time, Greg enjoys spending time with his wife and raising their four children, biking, coaching basketball, and time on the court as an avid tennis player.
Jeff graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University. While in college Jeff began his Engineering career as a co-op student working for GE Aircraft Engines on the engine control systems for the F16 Hornet. He started in the energy field after college with Allegheny Energy, working in power plant controls…controls and operations, in supercritical coal power plants and small hydro facilities. While working for Allegheny, he completed a MBA degree with a finance focus from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Business School. Soon after he completed his MBA, he transferred to Allegheny's Manhattan Office, where he managed the bidding of their unregulated power plants and traded electric for them in the PJM and NYISO markets. After 10 years with Allegheny Energy, Jeff started with SESCO Enterprises a month after their trading operations began in 2003. At SESCO Jeff has traded Inc/Dec, Upto congestion, FTR/CRR and financial markets in Nepool, IESO, NYISO, CAISO, ERCOT, PJM, SPP, and MISO. Jeff became a Partner in SESCO in 2008. With 20 years of Energy Trading experience, he currently focuses in the CAISO, MISO, SPP, NYISO and PJM markets.
