SESCO Enterprises, LLC is a proprietary commodities trading firm
specializing in U.S. electricity markets. We leverage deep market
insights and advanced quantitative analysis to drive results and
contribute to the efficiency and reliability of the power grid.
Software Engineering
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join the Software group at
SESCO in support of the development of our proprietary trading and
energy management systems. You will join a team that is responsible
for the effective creation, implementation, configuration, and
maintenance of systems (software and environments) related to
quantitative analysis and forecasting in the US Power Markets.
As a Software Engineer, you will:

Work to solve implement complex technical solutions in collaboration
with a team of skilled software engineers.

Work in an iterative and highly dynamic environment that encourages
collaboration and continuous improvement.

Develop software to implement solutions involving mathematical and
optimization techniques used in forecasting and investment
decisions.

Create and maintain systems that can support large heterogenous
datasets across a broad range of sources.

Develop libraries and APIs for other technical colleagues (e.g.
quants, traders) with an emphasis on correctness, design, usability,
and performance.

Work with researchers to implement research studies, analytics, and
production models for commodities trading

Qualifications

Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate Degree in Computer Science or
equivalent professional experience with progressive
responsibilities.

Proven track-record of designing and implementing full-stack
applications with a quantitative audience.

Expertise in Python and related ecosystem (PyData, flask, etc).

Experience with multi-database environments. Experience in
Clickhouse, Postgres, S3, etc. preferred.

General mathematical competency (working knowledge of fundamentals
in probability, statistics, linear algebra, calculus)

Experience in modern front-end development or desktop GUI
development is preferred.

Familiarity with DevOps, Infrastructure & Deployment, and AWS
preferred.
